The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency reduced the standard for arsenic in drinking water from 90 parts per billion (ppb) to 10 ppb. This decrease is implemented to reduce public health risks from arsenic. Community water systems serving millions of people will be subjected to this new standard. The Division of Hazardous Waste Remediation and Division of Spills Management have been combined to form the Division of Environmental Remediation. Cleanup criteria for petroleum spill sites and hazardous waste sites no requires the usage of Technical and Administrative Guidance Memo (TAGM) #4046. TAGM 4046 is available at:
